Will I have broker support? Who do I call with questions?
Yes. You may call us at 972-562-0896 with questions. A broker will be available to answer your questions and if we do not know the answer, we will get the answer for you quickly.
Do you offer training?
Yes. We offer over 120 online real estate training videos for new and experienced agents.
Do you offer a mentorship program for new agents?
Yes! We offer a specialized mentorship program for new agents where we teach you the ropes to being a successful real estate agent. We cover the basics, to include writing contracts, all the way up to more advanced training on how to convert your leads into closings.
How am I paid for commissions earned?
Sale- A commission disbursement authorization (CDA) form will be sent to the title company or attorney and you will be paid your commission upon closing and funding from the title company or attorney.
Lease- Due to the nature of leases, the full lease commission will paid to Fathom Realty after which your commission check will be cut to you.
Is there a transaction fee on closings?
Yes. There is a $250 transaction fee for a residential sale and a $75 transaction fee for a residential lease.
Is there a monthly fee? What does it cover?
Yes. In Texas the monthly fee is $99 and in North Carolina it is $125 (NC has a much higher E&O cost to the brokerage). This fee helps Fathom Realty cover some of the costs associated with providing the leads, tools, technology, training and other resources we offer. For agents that do not want to pay a monthly fee, we also offer an 80% split option.
Are there any extra fees like E&O or a franchise fee?
No, there are no hidden fees. E&O is covered in the transaction fee and we do not have hidden franchise fees.
How much money will I save by working with Fathom Realty?
That question is a little harder to answer since so many brokerages offer different splits. If you close on a $165,000 home and the commission is $4,950 then your take home on that closing will be $4,700 (total commission minus the $250 transaction fee). For example purposes only, if your current brokerage split is 70/30 then you will have saved $1,235 on that one transaction. If you close 12 similar deals in a year, then you will have saved $14,820. Let's look at it another way. If you were will Broker A and closed 12 of the above describe transactions, you would have earned $41,580 after paying $17,820 in broker splits. With Fathom Realty, you will have earned $56,400 after paying only $3,000 in transaction fees on those same 12 deals. Do you need any other reason to join Fathom today?
Do you provide company leads? Is there a company split on company generated leads?
Yes, we do provide leads and incredible systems for managing and converting those leads. We also provide you the tools needed to generate your own leads. We live by the idea that if you give a man a fish you feed them for a day but if you teach a man to fish you feed them for a lifetime.

Company generated leads are subject to a 60/40 split with the agent receiving 60%. Leads you generate on your enhanced company website are considered your personal leads and you will receive 100% of the commission minus the $250 transaction fee.
Are my leads protected if I enter them into Fathom Realty's lead management system?
Yes. Any lead or client you enter into the lead system belongs to you and that information will never be shared with any other agent.
May I negotiate my commission with my clients?
Yes. We encourage our agents to set their own commission rates with their clients. Today's real estate environment can be very competitive and our agents need the ability to be flexible.
What do I get for referring another agent to Fathom Realty?
You will earn one month free for every agent that joins Fathom Realty and lists you as the referring agent. We are confident that you will love working with Fathom Realty and hope that you will share it with other agents you know.
Can I set up a team under me with commission splits?
Yes. We offer the flexibility to establish your own team within Fathom Realty. You may set your own commission splits with your team.
What kind of marketing material do you provide?
You can find business cards, postcards, flyers, listing and buyer presentations, folders and more on our site at www.FathomRealty.com/agentbox. If there is any kind of marketing material missing that you would like to see, we will be happy to have it custom created for you. It's our goal to support your marketing efforts with the best material and resources available.
Where do I get For Sale yard signs with the Fathom Realty logo?
We provide our agents with the ability to download our sign templates from our online Agent Box to provide to any sign company of your choice. You may also lease a Fathom Realty For Sale sign for $25 ($50 deposit required at pick up, $25 returned at drop off).
Do you have a physical location?
No. This is how we keep our overhead costs low and provide our 100% commission plan.
Where do I meet my clients?
How many clients actually want to drive out to a real estate office to meet? It's usually out of their way and costs them time and gas money. In today's fast-paced environment, it's nice to be able to meet clients near their area of search. Many of our agents meet their clients at a local coffee shop with free WIFI Internet access. If a quiet, professional office is needed, almost all title companies and mortgage companies will let you use a spare office or conference room to meet your client.
Are company meetings required?
No. We hate meetings just as much as you do. If we need to share anything with you then we will email you the information or hold an online webinar via GoToMeeting.
Can I work part time?
You can work full time or part time. We do not have sales quotas.
Which local REALTOR Associations are you a member of?
In Texas, we are a member of MetroTex and CCAR. If we have enough agents that want to remain a member of one of the other local DFW associations, we will be happy to establish a membership relationship with those associations. We understand the importance of working with our local associations and want to make sure you have easy access to take advantage of their offerings.

In North Carolina, we are a member of Raleigh Regional Association of Realtors
Is Fathom a HUD Certified Brokerage?
The short answer, Yes. The long answer, Yes we are. :)
How soon can I start working with Fathom Realty after I sign up?
It typically takes one business day for everything to be submitted.
How do I move my license over to Fathom Realty?
Realtors- we will provide you with a signed Salesperson Sponsorship Form which you will need to mail into TREC with a check for $20.
Brokers- you will need to send in a Broker Change Of Office Address to TREC with a check for $20.
